The Barracuda R2 a fast refined tourer's choice and a progressive packraft for two. Possessing both space and speed, the Barracuda R2 will see you travelling distance in comfort and style.

Kayak and canoe in one packraft

The unique combi seats of the Barracuda R2 allow either a kneeling position or a normal sitting position. The conversion of the seat positions takes less than 2 minutes, simply turning the seat 90° and fastening 4 straps on the floor or side tube. The boat can be paddled with single bladed paddle (canoe style) or with a double bladed paddle (kayak style).

The two backrests mean comfort when cruising!

Characteristics

At well over three-meters the Barracuda R2 has a dynamic hull design. The pointed bow matches the elongated stern to create a long waterline with a well-balanced rocker, providing excellent speed yet remaining stable and agile.

The snug kneeling position straddling the removable seats provides efficient canoe-style paddling. Whilst, turning the seat 90° makes a comfortable cushion. Both paddlers will have a backrest. Taller people will definately appreciate the 217 cm long interior sutting space.

The floor features an Aramid fiber for exceptional tear resistance – partly cut fabric cannot be torn by hand. The excellent adhesive qualities of the PU coating makes the boat extremely durable, being light, UV-resistant, non-ageing and flexible at low temperatures.

Application

  • Recreational paddling.
  • Touring.
  • Adventure competitions.
  • Multiday expeditions.

The boat can be used on lakes, rivers, easy whitewater and sheltered bays alike.

Ideal for Campervan Owners, or for people who don't have space to store traditional kayaks and canoes. The Barracuda R2 has all the benefits of a canoe with easy storage and handling!

Please note

Like most packrafts, the Barracuda R2 has a non-inflatable floor so when paddling in the kneeling position  we recommend palcing a piece of foam camping mat under your knees - exactly as you would do in a candian canoe.

For good and safe performance it is important to pay attention to the inflating to the right air pressure (especially in cold water). Because of the size of a tandem packraft, too low pressure can lead to distortions and bends of the hull.

The Barracuda R2 is another collaboration between Anfibio and MRS (Micro Rafting System).  Serial production takes place in the Far East with manufacturing carried out in small, hand-built batches.
